Vermont General Assembly honors Deborah J. Aldrich for 42 years of municipal public service in the Town of Chester

Aldrich began as Assistant Town Clerk in 1983 at age 22, hired by Town Clerk Sandy Walker

Elected Chester Town Clerk/Treasurer in 2005, overseeing election administration, deed recording, and other municipal functions

Collaborated with four town managers, numerous selectboard members, and justices of the peace throughout her career

Concluded service as Town Clerk on Town Meeting Day 2025 but continues serving as town treasurer; Secretary of State directed to send copy of resolution to Aldrich
