Vermont General Assembly commends Team Trumie and Truman Compton for autism advocacy, community engagement, and fostering public awareness and acceptance of autism

Team Trumie, formed in 2017 after Truman Compton's autism diagnosis before age 2, has grown to more than 50 volunteers who raise funds for the Special Needs Support Center of the Upper Valley

Team Trumie donated autism-related books to Windsor County classrooms and libraries, provided sensory kits to Windsor Fire and Police Departments for first responders, and distributed postcards internationally with the slogan "let's learn more about autism, together"

Initiatives include installing outdoor picture-based communication boards on school playgrounds and launching a project to establish a parent-caregiver special education advisory committee in Windsor County

Secretary of State directed to send a copy of the resolution to the Compton family and Team Trumie
