Vermont General Assembly congratulates 11 businesses and nonprofits receiving the 2024 Spirit of the ADA Award for excellence in employing people with disabilities

Award recipients include Worth Repeating (Saint Albans), Butterfly Bakery (Barre), Onion River Animal Hospital (Berlin), VINE Sanctuary (Springfield), Bradford Hannaford, Club Demonstration Services (Colchester), Lamoille Valley Veterinary Services (Hyde Park), Shaw's Supermarket (Manchester Center), WheelPad L3C (Wilmington), Windsor County Youth Services (Proctorsville), and Rhino Foods (Burlington)

Rhino Foods received the special David Sagi Memorial Spirit of the ADA Award for 2024

Selection criteria include accessible recruitment and hiring processes, on-the-job accommodations, accessible physical structures, and employment strategies that include hiring individuals with disabilities

Secretary of State directed to send copies of the resolution to each award recipient and the Governor's Committee on the Employment of People with Disabilities
