Commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, a nonprofit all-volunteer organization established in 2000

Vermont once had more than 500 covered bridges but now has fewer than 100 due to fires, floods, and aging

The Society has grown from a few enthusiasts to over 300 members from the United States and Canada

The organization works with State agencies and local communities to preserve and restore covered bridges and maintains a website featuring tours and information about existing bridges

Directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to the Vermont Covered Bridge Society
