Honors Timothy Burgess for 49 years of service with the Bennington Rural Fire Department (BRFD) since 1976, where he rose from entry-level firefighter to assistant chief

Recognizes his leadership roles including BRFD president, president of the Bennington County Mutual Aid Association Inc., and lifetime member of the Vermont State Firefighters' Association (VSFA)

Acknowledges his contributions to firefighter education through the Southern Vermont Regional Fire School, fire safety presentations at area schools, and service on the VSFA scholarship committee

Notes his recognition as a "Hometown Hero" by Mt. Anthony Union Middle School and dedication of a VSFA yearbook in his honor

Directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to Tim Burgess
