Vermont General Assembly congratulates Robert "Santa Bob" Kilburn of Fair Haven for winning the 2024 Ken Schrader Real Racer of the Year Award from Speedway Illustrated magazine

Kilburn began his motor racing career at age 57½, debuting at Canaan Fair Speedway in New Hampshire and later racing at Bear Ridge Speedway and Devil's Bowl Speedway near his home

Won Rookie of the Year and a peer-selected sportsmanship award at Devil's Bowl Speedway, and achieved his first race victory on August 25, 2018, at age 62

Known as "Santa Bob" for his white hair, beard, and red-and-white cap, he has developed a fan base particularly among children despite having no biological children of his own

Directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to Kilburn
