Led Carris Reels, a wire and cable packaging reel manufacturer, starting in 1980, transforming it into an international industry leader

Implemented an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) at Carris Reels in 1995 with his wife Barbara, converting company ownership to directly benefit employees

Directs the Secretary of State to send a copy of the resolution to the Carris family
