Members of the Vermont General Assembly would become eligible for the State employees' group health insurance plan, including hospital-surgical-medical expense coverage, employee assistance programs, and flexible spending accounts for health care and dependent care expenses.

Legislators must pay the same premium share for health insurance as Executive Branch employees.

Amends 3 V.S.A. § 631 to expand the definition of "employees" to include General Assembly members for purposes of group health benefits.

Effective date: January 1, 2027, applying to coverage beginning on or after that date.
