Secretary of Education must develop or adopt an open source, interdisciplinary climate change curriculum for elementary and secondary schools aligned with the IPCC's 2023 synthesis report findings

Curriculum must be designed to enable teaching about climate change across multiple subject areas, building upon existing resources

State Board of Education must amend Education Quality Standards (Rule 2000) by July 1, 2027 to require supervisory-union-wide curricula to incorporate environmental and climate change education at all grade levels

Act takes effect July 1, 2026
