Shifts legal representation for individuals found incompetent to stand trial or acquitted by reason of insanity from Vermont Legal Aid to the Office of the Defender General for commitment proceedings

Allows courts to revoke orders of nonhospitalization and direct hospitalization when patients do not comply with treatment orders or when alternative treatment proves inadequate

Removes the 90-day time limitation on modified treatment orders, enabling courts to direct alternative treatment programs beyond the original 90-day period
