Creates the Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Working Group to examine existing statutes, rules, and policies on reporting child abuse and neglect and recommend modernization changes reflecting current best practices.

Working Group membership includes six members: Director of the Office of Professional Regulation, Executive Director of the Vermont Center for Crime Victim Services, a co-executive director of the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, and appointees from the Attorney General, Chief Administrative Judge, and Commissioner for Children and Families.

Report with findings and any recommended legislative proposals due to the General Assembly by November 1, 2026.

Takes effect upon passage.
