Authorizes municipal law enforcement agencies to use automated traffic law enforcement (ATLE) systems in work zones, at locations with high crash/speeding incidents, at traffic signals for red light violations, and in areas with excessive vehicle noise violations

Requires municipal voter approval before a municipality can implement ATLE systems, with the legislative body first reviewing a law enforcement proposal and then placing the question on a ballot at an annual or special meeting

ATLE systems capture rear license plates of vehicles traveling more than 10 mph over the speed limit, running red lights, or exceeding municipal sound limits, with vehicle owners liable for civil penalties

Mandates signage notifying drivers of ATLE use, annual calibration checks by independent laboratories, and public posting of system locations on municipal websites

Extends the sunset date for Vermont's automated traffic law enforcement provisions from July 1, 2027 to July 1, 2029, with the act taking effect July 1, 2026
