Creates a 7-member Nuclear Power Study Committee to identify obstacles to constructing a new nuclear energy generation facility in Vermont, including barriers in State and federal law

Committee membership includes the Public Utility Commission Chair, representatives from Vermont Electric Power Company and ISO New England, plus two House members and two Senators from different political parties

Committee must review why Vermont's prior nuclear facility closed, examine State and federal legal obstacles, and hear from stakeholders including electric utilities, NextEra Energy, the Nuclear Energy Institute, and the U.S. Department of Energy

First meeting required by July 31, 2026; written report with recommendations and proposed legislative action due to legislative committees by December 15, 2026; committee dissolves January 31, 2027

Legislative and non-employer-compensated members entitled to per diem and expense reimbursement for up to six meetings in fiscal year 2027
