Requires sellers and lessors with indefinitely renewing subscription contracts (initial term of one month or longer) to notify consumers annually of their right to terminate the contract.

Annual termination notices must include a toll-free telephone number, email address, postal address (if directly billed), or other cost-effective cancellation mechanism.

Contracts accepted online must allow consumers to terminate exclusively online, including through a pre-formatted termination email.

Violations constitute an unfair and deceptive act in commerce under existing Vermont consumer protection law (9 V.S.A. § 2453).

Effective date: July 1, 2026.
