Allows 16- and 17-year-olds enrolled in bona fide college programs (such as Running Start) or career and technical education programs to work the same hours during school weeks as permitted during school vacations or holidays

Requires the Department of Labor and Industries to revise current rules to treat students in college programs and career and technical education programs equitably regarding work hour restrictions

For career and technical education students, the expanded work hours apply only when working for an employer approved by the program

Defines "career and technical education program" as a work-based learning program approved by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction or the student's school district, including core plus programs

Effective date: July 1, 2026
