Allows the department or contracted entities to continue providing housing assistance through the child welfare housing assistance program after child welfare or protective services to a family have ended

Requires the department to adopt formal rules establishing procedures for implementing the child welfare housing assistance program

Expands annual reporting requirements to include: number of unhoused parents on voucher waiting lists, average wait times, percentage of funding spent on placement prevention versus reunification versus administration, and breakdown of spending on administration, rental assistance, and supportive services

Directs the department to serve families on waiting lists and attempt to eliminate all waiting lists for the program, subject to appropriated funding

Takes effect July 27, 2025
