Educational service districts must jointly develop and maintain a voluntary online survey to measure family satisfaction with public education, gather feedback on experiences, and collect reasons for student enrollment and disenrollment in public schools

Survey must be available online by September 1, 2025, with links distributed annually to school districts, public schools, and the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction

Survey responses will be linked to schools using statewide student identifiers, with parent/guardian and student names removed before sharing data with districts; results must be disaggregated by student demographic categories and disenrollment reasons

Educational service districts and OSPI must develop a publicly available summary of survey responses, sortable by school district, individual school, student categories, and transfer type (home-based instruction, private school, in-district transfer, out-of-district transfer)

Beginning August 1, 2026, school districts must share the survey link with parents of enrolled and recently disenrolled students, and districts may provide the survey link to parents when students transfer to another district
