Public four-year institutions of higher education in Washington may provide and pay for insurance coverage for intercollegiate student athletes designated by the institution

Coverage may extend to currently enrolled student athletes as well as former student athletes entitled to posteligibility health care under their athletic association's rules

Insurance for former athletes is specifically limited to addressing athletics-related injuries and conditions sustained during their time competing

Amends RCW 28B.10.660 to add student athlete insurance as a new subsection (4) alongside existing provisions for graduate student health benefits and study abroad insurance
