Requires closure of Yakima Valley School and Rainier School (residential habilitation centers for people with developmental disabilities) by June 30, 2027

Prohibits new admissions to both facilities immediately upon enactment, except for short-term respite or crisis stabilization services

Mandates the Department of Social and Health Services provide transitioning residents options including state-operated living alternatives, supported living programs, or space at other residential habilitation centers based on individual preference

Requires offering displaced residential habilitation center employees opportunities to work in state-operated living alternatives and other state facilities

Following closure, Yakima Valley School facility must continue operating crisis stabilization beds and respite service beds as needed for the catchment area, subject to appropriations
