Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee must contract with a third party to conduct the "Commercial Liftoff for Energy from Advanced Nuclear" study on benefits of nuclear energy and small modular reactor deployment

Study must include recommendations for maximizing nuclear energy benefits, workforce development, job creation, and feasibility of replacing a coal-fired electric generation facility with a nuclear power plant

Study results must be reported to the legislature by July 1, 2027

Joint Committee on Energy Supply, Energy Conservation, and Energy Resilience must review the report and hold a public comment meeting before December 1, 2027
