Establishes minimum rights for residents of senior independent housing (housing for persons 55+ who do not require assistance with daily living activities)

Guarantees residents the right to be free from interference, coercion, discrimination, and reprisal when exercising their rights, and to be treated respectfully by management and staff

Permits residents to install safety and security devices, including cameras, at the entrance to or within their individual living units

Requires housing providers to allow residents to organize and hold meetings, communicate with management at any time for emergencies, and provide anonymous feedback through suggestion boxes

Designates violations by senior independent housing providers as unfair or deceptive acts under Washington's Consumer Protection Act (chapter 19.86 RCW)
