School districts must provide individual health plans for students with adrenal insufficiency and adopt policies addressing parent requests, medication storage, emergency care plans, and accommodations for student needs

Parent-designated adults (volunteers who may be school employees) are authorized to provide care for students with adrenal insufficiency, including administering emergency corticosteroid injections during an adrenal crisis

Parent-designated adults must complete training selected by the child's parents in proper care procedures; school employees not licensed as nurses must file a voluntary letter of intent and cannot face reprisal for refusing to serve in this role

School districts, employees, agents, and parent-designated adults acting in good faith and in compliance with individual health plans are granted immunity from criminal and civil liability
