Amends RCW 29A.60.280 to change when local elected officials may take their oath of office before assuming their position

Replaces the current "up to ten days prior" oath timing window with a new timeframe tied to the governing body's meeting schedule

Allows oath to be taken any time after the last regular meeting of the governing body held before the winner assumes office

Alternatively permits the oath to be taken at the last regular meeting of the county, city, town, or special district before assuming office

Applies to elected officials of counties, cities, towns, and special purpose districts (excluding school districts where property ownership is a voting prerequisite)
