Counties may permit subdivision of rural land outside urban growth areas for transfer or sale to family members including parents, children, grandchildren, spouses, and siblings

Original parcel must have been owned by the grantor for more than 5 years, or transferred from a deceased family member with 5+ years of family ownership

Subdivision applications must identify the specific family member for each new lot, with each receiving family member limited to one lot

New lots must accommodate a residence and infrastructure (well, on-site sewage) but are exempt from minimum lot size requirements that apply to non-family subdivisions

Development on lots created under this act must still comply with all local regulations except for lot size and setback requirements
