Cities, towns, or counties designated as fan zones or host cities for an international sports competition (2026 FIFA World Cup) may request expanded alcohol service for liquor licensees within a two-square block area during June and July 2026

Multiple licensees within approved areas may share alcohol service areas during events, provided they submit a joint operating plan addressing underage prevention, staff-to-attendee ratios, server training, drink limits per transaction, and distinguishable alcoholic beverage containers

Participating licensees may operate without local permits for public space alcohol service, share areas with non-alcohol businesses, and serve alcohol without food service requirements in the shared event area

Eligible license types include beer and wine restaurants, spirits/beer/wine restaurants, taverns, domestic wineries, breweries, microbreweries, distilleries, and snack bars

All participating licensees are jointly responsible for violations unless a specific licensee's conduct can be identified; the authorization expires August 1, 2026
