Cannabis processors can now obtain a medical cannabis endorsement (previously only available to retailers), allowing them to sell Department of Health-compliant cannabis products directly to qualifying patients and designated providers

Medical cannabis consultants may now work in expanded settings: as employees/volunteers of health care professionals, as employees/volunteers of endorsed cannabis processors, or as self-employed consultants providing services in person or remotely

Cannabis processors with medical cannabis endorsements gain authority to enter qualifying patients into the medical cannabis authorization database, issue recognition cards, and replace lost/stolen cards

Qualifying patients and designated providers can now purchase compliant cannabis concentrates, usable cannabis, and cannabis-infused products directly from endorsed processors (in addition to existing retail purchase options)

Fines collected from database administrators who fail to comply with medical cannabis authorization database requirements will be deposited into the dedicated cannabis account instead of the health professions account
