Conservation districts are prohibited from purchasing real property of 20 acres or larger that is actively being used for agricultural production

Each conservation district must compile and submit to the Department of Agriculture by June 30, 2027, an inventory of all real property in its ownership that totaled 20 acres or more and qualified as farm and agricultural land prior to district ownership

Required inventory information includes the legal description, any water rights associated with the parcel, and the most recent crops grown on the parcel

Conservation districts are not required to include information on private land under easement agreements in the inventory

The Department of Agriculture must post all received inventories on its website, and districts must also post inventories on their own websites
