Department of Social and Health Services must establish a pilot program allowing clients with developmental disabilities living in community settings to access dental services at Rainier School in Buckley, Pierce County

Eligibility requires determination for developmental disabilities services plus one of: high behavior/medical acuity level, documented need for general anesthesia or deep sedation for treatment, or case manager certification that community dental care is unavailable

Dental visits may include short-term admissions of no more than 24 hours, with participants able to use available respite hours if authorized under their home and community-based services waiver

DSHS must work with Health Care Authority to enroll the Rainier School dental clinic as a Medicaid fee-for-service provider, with federal matching funds deposited into the state general fund

Pilot concludes July 1, 2028, with a legislative report due by October 1, 2028 detailing outcomes, obstacles, billing complications, and ongoing need; the section expires July 1, 2029
