Washington Department of Agriculture must establish a program to evaluate PFAS (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances) chemicals in fertilizers and pesticides used in agricultural production

By December 31, 2026, the department must establish criteria for evaluating PFAS chemicals in both fertilizers and pesticides, including conditions for refusing or canceling product registrations

Beginning December 31, 2027, the department must review all fertilizer registrations and new pesticide registrations against the established PFAS criteria

Director gains authority to refuse or cancel registration of fertilizer and pesticide products that contain PFAS chemicals not meeting the established criteria

Affected licensees or registrants may request a hearing under chapter 34.05 RCW if their registration is canceled or refused
