Surviving spouses, domestic partners, and dependent children of members killed in the course of employment receive reimbursement for premiums paid to Washington State Health Care Authority and for Medicare Part A and Part B

Reimbursement covers the period from the member's death until the determination that the death was in the course of employment, including premiums for employer-provided insurance, COBRA coverage, and Medicare

Recipients entitled to Medicare must enroll and maintain enrollment in both Medicare Part A and Part B to remain eligible for reimbursement

Those not eligible for the standard reimbursement may receive reimbursement for other medical insurance premiums, capped at COBRA premium amounts

Premium reimbursement provisions apply retroactively to payments made after June 10, 2010
