Department of Commerce must develop a state quantum technology strategy and submit it to the legislature by June 30, 2026

Strategy must include an industry overview, projected growth analysis, public-private partnership opportunities, and identification of projects to increase jobs and capital investments

Department may contract with Washington-based quantum computing manufacturers or regional organizations of companies, universities, and national labs to assist with strategy development

Strategy must analyze state policies including regulatory reforms, tax supports, and workforce programs, as well as research opportunities with institutions like Pacific Northwest National Laboratory

Section expires August 1, 2027; department shall seek gifts, grants, and nonstate contributions to fund the effort
