Replaces references to the "developmental disabilities administration" and "aging and long-term support administration" throughout Washington state law with updated terminology reflecting DSHS reorganization into the "home and community living administration"

Updates approximately 30 sections of the Revised Code of Washington across multiple titles covering services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, long-term care, behavioral health, and related programs

Removes references to the "behavioral health administration" as a separate entity within DSHS in provisions related to public defense services for persons committed following acquittal by reason of insanity

Makes conforming changes to statutes governing kinship care legal aid, competency evaluations, dependency proceedings, dementia action collaborative membership, caseload forecasting, and various advisory committees

Takes effect July 1, 2026
