Washington Health Care Authority must apply by July 1, 2026 for a federal Section 1115(a) waiver to obtain Medicaid expenditure authority for traditional health care practices

Upon federal approval, Medicaid would cover traditional health care practices delivered through Indian Health Service facilities, tribally-operated facilities, and urban Indian organization facilities

"Traditional health care practices" defined as knowledge, skills, and practices based on indigenous cultural theories, beliefs, and experiences used for health maintenance, prevention, diagnosis, improvement, or treatment of physical and mental illness

Coverage would be available to Medicaid beneficiaries eligible to receive services through qualifying Indian health care facilities

Amends RCW 43.71B.010 to add the statutory definition of traditional health care practices
