Joint memorial urging the Washington State Bar Association, three Washington law schools, county prosecutor and public defense offices, courts, and the American Bar Association to collaborate in supporting legal education and practice opportunity programs for law students.

Specifically promotes six programs: the Rule 6 law clerk program, Rule 9 licensed legal intern program, small town and rural council, rural defense public partnership program, central Washington hybrid hub program, and other bar association legal education programs.

Requests recipients educate current and prospective law students about these programs and encourage applications for internships that allow part-time or full-time work during the final year of legal education.

Addresses the need for practice-ready law school graduates to support prosecution and public defense offices facing heavy caseloads.

Secretary of State directed to immediately transmit copies of the memorial to all named recipients upon passage.
