Robert Steven Masko (October 28, 1954 – September 13, 2025) served 37 years with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department, retiring as undersheriff

Graduated from Wilson High School in 1973 and earned a criminal justice degree from Washington State University in 1977

Held numerous volunteer positions including Fircrest City Councilmember, Law Enforcement Youth Camp Director, Civil Service Commissioner, youth sports coach, and local credit union board chair

Following retirement, continued community service through the University Place Public Safety Advisory Commission, Fircrest Civil Service Oral Board, and securing playground equipment at Masko Park

Washington House of Representatives honors his contributions to public safety and civic leadership, extending sympathy to his wife Dawn Masko, children, grandchildren, and extended family
