Executive Rules Committee may assign bills, memorials, resolutions, and subject matters to authorized House committees for interim study, while the Speaker may create special and select committees with Executive Rules Committee approval

Members participating remotely in interim committee meetings count as present for quorum and voting purposes; committees may hold work sessions and public hearings without a quorum present

Authorized committees receive subpoena power, power to administer oaths, and power to issue commissions for witness examination when specifically authorized by the Executive Rules Committee

Chief Clerk is authorized to complete 2026 Regular Session work, approve member expense vouchers at established per diem and mileage rates, hire employees, order supplies, and execute personal services contracts for workplace investigations

Resolution applies throughout the interim between sessions of the Sixty-Ninth Legislature; adopted March 12, 2026
