Bars corporations, partnerships, or other business entities from acquiring agricultural, forest, or mineral land if more than 20% of stock or beneficial interest is held by parties associated with the Chinese government

Exempts land acquired through inheritance, devise, debt collection, or lien enforcement, though such land must be disposed of within three years

Exempts citizens or subjects of foreign countries whose land-holding rights are protected by treaty

Exempts agricultural land associated with food processing facilities from the prohibition
