"Novice school nurse" is defined as a registered nurse or advanced registered nurse practitioner in their first, second, or third year working in a school-based role

Amends RCW 28A.415.265, which governs the existing Beginning Educator Support Team program that provides mentoring for beginning principals, teachers, and educational staff associates

Mentors assigned through the program provide up to three years of support, with intensive assistance in the first year and decreasing support in subsequent years
