Cities and federally recognized Indian tribes may mutually agree to contract for urban governmental services to be extended beyond city urban growth boundaries to tribal lands with urban development, while remaining compliant with the Growth Management Act

Agreements between tribes and cities to extend urban governmental services to tribal property abutting city boundaries must be reached by December 31, 2028

The bill amends RCW 36.70A.110 to add this tribal services exception to the general rule that urban governmental services should not be extended to rural areas
