Removes the restriction that limited arbitrator term expirations to no more than three per year, allowing more flexibility in managing the roster of 9-18 arbitrators who handle law enforcement disciplinary grievance cases

Applies to grievance arbitrations involving disciplinary actions, discharges, or terminations of law enforcement personnel, including police officers, corrections officers, and Department of Fish and Wildlife officers

Arbitrators are assigned on alphabetical rotation by the executive director, with parties prohibited from negotiating or selecting their own arbitrator

Effective date is July 27, 2025; passed unanimously in both chambers (Senate 49-0, House 96-0)
