Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction must adopt Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander history learning standards as part of state social studies standards by September 1, 2028

School districts must provide K-12 instruction on Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander history beginning in the 2029-30 school year, covering topics including civil rights contributions from the 19th century to present, individual achievements in government and sciences, and community contributions to U.S. development

An advisory committee will be established to develop curriculum frameworks and identify instructional materials, with members receiving compensation; the committee expires June 30, 2028

School districts must submit annual compliance reports beginning June 30, 2030, confirming instruction is planned, ongoing, and systematic

The curriculum supplements but does not supersede existing requirements for the "Since Time Immemorial" tribal history curriculum or other ethnic studies materials
