Green manufacturing facilities (certified for sustainability) and facilities that export goods through Washington seaports qualify for an extended 8-year property tax exemption

Exemption claims must be filed with the county assessor and cannot be renewed after the initial 6 or 8-year period expires

Supports goals of the 2021 Washington BEST Manufacturing Act to double manufacturing jobs and double manufacturing firms owned by women and people of color over 10 years

Tax exemption applies to taxes levied for collection from 2026 through 2035, with the entire program expiring January 1, 2036
