Financial education becomes a high school graduation requirement beginning with the class of 2033 or earlier if recommended by the State Board of Education

School districts must provide financial education instruction aligned with state learning standards by the 2029-30 school year

State Board of Education must submit recommendations on graduation requirement adjustments to the legislature by December 31, 2026, after consulting with educators, students, parents, and community stakeholders

School districts must publicize financial education offerings and the graduation requirement to students and families starting no later than the 2027-28 school year

Grade 12 students who previously resided outside Washington may receive individual waivers from their principal if unable to meet the requirement
