Exemptions provided for undercover operatives during active operations and SWAT team officers using protective gear necessary for their responsibilities

Medical masks (N95, surgical), translucent face shields, respirators for hazardous conditions, and bicycle/motorcycle helmets excluded from the facial covering definition

Persons detained in violation may bring civil action against the officer for compensatory damages, punitive damages, attorneys' fees, injunctive relief, and other court-determined remedies
