Prohibits insured persons from assigning or transferring their insurance policy rights or benefits to motor vehicle glass repair shops, making such contracts void and unenforceable

Requires glass repair shops to notify customers whether their vehicle has an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) and whether calibration/recalibration is needed after windshield replacement per manufacturer specifications

Mandates repair shops obtain a claim or referral number before contracting for insurance-paid repairs, provide good faith cost estimates, and charge only reasonable and customary fees

Prohibits repair shops from offering rebates, gifts, or incentives to customers or insurance producers in exchange for directing glass claims, and bars fraudulent practices including false documentation and misrepresenting coverage approval

Preserves consumer right to choose any glass repair shop while allowing insurers to maintain repair networks and make recommendations; effective date July 1, 2026
