Transfers oversight of the Imagination Library of Washington program from the Department of Children, Youth, and Families to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction

Program provides free age-appropriate books mailed monthly to eligible children from birth to age five through a Washington-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

Requires annual reporting to the legislature and governor by November 1, 2026 (and annually thereafter) on the number of affiliate programs and enrolled children statewide

Nonprofit operating the program pays 50 percent of book costs to the national nonprofit foundation, with affiliate programs covering the remaining costs

Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction may seek and accept gifts, grants, or endowments from public or private sources for the program
