Workers with permanent total disability from injuries on or after July 1, 2026 will receive 100% of their employer's health care benefit contributions, unless the employer continues paying those benefits at pre-injury levels

Monthly disability payments will be calculated as a percentage of wages excluding health care contributions, ranging from 60% (unmarried, no children) to 75% (unmarried with 6+ children or married with 5+ children)

The new benefit structure increases wage replacement percentages for unmarried workers with children by 3 percentage points compared to pre-July 2026 claims (e.g., unmarried with one child increases from 62% to 65%)

Minimum benefit calculations for claims on or after July 1, 2026 may include up to six children, compared to five children maximum for earlier claims
