Department of Children, Youth, and Families may provide prelicensing support services to prospective child care providers, including help with applications, understanding licensing rules, navigating facilities development, and regional operating requirements

Department may develop and publish an online child care licensing resource guide for individuals applying for permits to operate child care centers

Cities and counties must inform applicants submitting permits for licensed child care centers about available prelicensing supports and the resource guide from the Department of Children, Youth, and Families

Child care center occupancy load calculations in multi-use buildings will be based only on the area where child care services are provided, not the entire building

All new department services and resources are to be implemented within existing resources (no additional funding allocated)
