Authorizes certified HVAC/refrigeration specialty electricians to install, repair, replace, and maintain electrical connections when work follows manufacturer instructions and equipment is certified by an accredited testing laboratory

Limits authorized electrical work to circuits, wiring methods, and equipment integral to the mini-split system's operation

Permits the department to establish reasonable limitations on voltage, amperage, building occupancy, and construction type for safety purposes

Prohibits the department from adopting rules that would bar HVAC/refrigeration specialty electricians from performing the specifically authorized mini-split connection work
