Department of Health must contract with a training entity to deliver age-appropriate cancer education programs to students in grades 6-12, with school district participation being voluntary.

Programs designed as single 50-75 minute sessions covering cancer prevention, risk reduction, and social/emotional resources, adaptable to assemblies, individual classes, or multiple sessions.

Contracted training entity must have demonstrated experience delivering cancer education to Washington youth and must use funds to expand beyond 2023-24 program levels across geographically and racially diverse areas.

Programs must be available in Spanish, and the selected entity may subcontract with others to meet demand while maintaining quality standards.

Department must report to the governor and legislature by December 1, 2027, on program delivery, student participation numbers, geographic distribution, and Spanish-language offerings.
